Thief

If the target is holding an item and the user is not, the user will permanently take the item. If this Pokémon is wild, it cannot steal from a trained Pokémon. Damage is still inflicted if an item cannot be taken.

This move cannot steal a Griseous Orb from Giratina, a Gilded Crown or Wilted Crown from Athlauria, a Plate from a Pokémon with Multitype, a Drive from Genesect, a Mega Stone from its corresponding Pokémon, or anything from a Pokémon with Sticky Hold.

The target cannot recover its item with Recycle.

This move cannot be selected by Assist or Metronome.
