Pokédex Entries

Burungin appear to shapeshift by cloaking themselves with flames and then altering their shape. Ancient people revered them as fire spirits and presented them with offerings. It is said that a Burungin would put on a brilliant performance with its powers when pleased.


No one knows what is under a Burungin's mask, or even whether it is a part of the Pokémon's face. The mask seems to be the source of a Burungin's fire-shaping powers.

I know real hyenas tend to have longer forelimbs than hindlimbs, but this one's a bit too bulky for something that's not meant as a physical attacker. Since when is arm day relevant to magic?
