Full-grown leaves sprout from an Alphian's body and allow it to draw energy from sunlight as well as from its food. They like to float lazily through the water with their leaves out in the air, taking in all of the warmth and light.
Alphian have a symbiotic relationship with the leaves growing from their bodies. Their appreciation for this relationship is said to be why Alphian are so eager to help their friends.
