Pokédex Entries

Mesmire produce a chemical that causes their lures and the spots on their bodies to glow. The lures change color to hypnotize other Pokémon, bringing them close enough for Mesmire to swallow whole.

The glowing of Mesmire's lure and spots changes based on the noxious substances in its habitat. Researchers can use the color of a Mesmire's lure to determine where it came from.
