Lamlie sneaks into Mareep herds and tries to lure one Mareep away from the others. It gets excited very easily, however, and so is rarely successful on its own.


Mareep shepherds should observe their flocks carefully—there may be a Lamlie trying to blend in. It's easiest to spot impostors when static buildup makes real Mareep wool double in size while Lamlie wool stays the same.

It's cute, but it doesn't look quite enough like Mareep to be convincing. This was somewhat intentional (it was supposed to be a bit silly that people in-world were so easily confused by it), but I think it went a little too far.
Lamlie 2.0 (2024)
The new design moves much closer to Mareep in color and fluffiness instead of scruffiness, while still having some tells that it's not the genuine article (no tail bulb, etc.). The wool coat was redesigned to look a bit more like a draped-over sheepskin. I thought it'd be fun if the pose was a mirror image of Mareep's official art, too.
