New Items

In addition to the plethora of items you've come to know and love in the canon regions, the various regions in this project have their own interesting tools and trinkets, all detailed here. In some cases I may have tweaked an existing, canon item so that I think it works better or makes more sense.

Most of these item sprites are edits of in-game item images, so all credit for the originals goes to Game Freak et al.

General Items

Miscellaneous items with various purposes.

Crest Fossil

A fossil from a prehistoric Pokémon that once lived on the land. It looks as if it could be part of a crest.

Scientists somewhere can take this fossil and use it to create a Dyrascal.

Hammer Fossil

A fossil from a prehistoric Pokémon that once lived on the land. It is thick and heavy like a hammer.

Scientists somewhere in Faelan can take this fossil and use it to create a Mjolmi.

Heavy Ore

A strange mineral that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. The grayish material inside is impossibly tough.

Using this item on certain Pokémon can cause them to evolve (for example, Eevee into Lazuleon).

Rumble Ore

A strange mineral that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. Its reddish glint fires up fighting spirit.

Using this item on certain Pokémon can cause them to evolve (for example, Eevee into Brawleon).

Sinister Candle

A candle made of a mysterious substance. Its eerie green flame is cold to the touch.

Using this candle on a Galorindle will evolve it into Mandeglare.

Windblown Ore

A strange mineral that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. Its harsh weathering reveals a surprising shine.

Using this item on certain Pokémon can cause them to evolve (for example, Eevee into Zephyreon).

Restorative Items

Items that restore lost HP and cure negative status conditions.

Cro-Cola

A delicious natural-sugar soft drink made and sold in Lower Nesubi. It can be used once to heal all the status conditions of a Pokémon.

A specialty soft drink maker in Lower Nesubi makes these cane sugar sodas and distributes them in the region's vending machines. The sweet, fizzy drink can instantly revitalize a Pokémon that is feeling unwell, restoring any confusion or major status conditions it may be suffering. Each can has a depiction of an adorable Crocoal mascot.

Note: Thanks to Chronicler for this idea.

Held Items

Pokémon can hold these items and use them during battle.

Arcanite

One of a variety of mysterious Mega Stones. Have Arcanine hold it, and this stone will enable it to Mega Evolve during battle.

If its trainer has a Key Stone and a Mega Item, Arcanine can use this in battle to Mega Evolve into Mega Arcanine.

Berserk Gene

A capsule of mysterious genetic material. It sends the holder into a rage, sharply boosting its Attack but leaving it disoriented.

As soon as the holder enters battle or receives the item in-battle (via Trick, for example) it becomes confused and its Attack rises by two stages; the item is consumed afterward. Pokémon with Own Tempo will not activate either of Berserk Gene's effects when being sent out.

This is a specialty item that is only produced by Connor of Fabulous Items 'R' Us. Only by him, only there. It's totally brand new and he totally came up with it just for his store. No, you haven't seen them associated with certain unscrupulous people and projects in Kanto or Johto. Stop spreading filthy lies about perfectly honest and aboveboard small businesses.

Note: Despite what Connor may want you to believe, Berserk Gene is a canon item that originally existed in GSC but was removed in subsequent generations. I thought it was an interesting idea, so I've brought it back for an encore.

Black Jewel

An item to be held by Seviper or Seviron. It is a dark, sparkling stone that boosts the power of Poison-type moves.

When held by Seviper or Seviron, Black Jewel increases the power of Poison-type moves by 30%. A Seviper that is traded while holding this item will evolve into Seviron, after which the item will be consumed.

Brave Bracer

A mysterious armband that causes a certain Pokémon to evolve. It is tattered and worn from use in many battles.

A Quimpy that is traded while holding this item will evolve into Valazman, after which the item will be consumed. (Quimpy can also evolve by leveling up with 171+ Toughness.)

Desert Crook

An item to be held by Maaphix. A mysterious artifact shaped like a shepherd's crook, it raises the Attack stat.

When held by Maaphix, Desert Crook doubles its Attack. A Maaphix that grows to level 35 or higher while holding this item will evolve into Khersin, after which the item will be consumed.

Desert Flail

An item to be held by Maaphix. A mysterious artifact shaped like an overseer's flail, it raises the Sp. Atk stat.

When held by Maaphix, Desert Flail doubles its Special Attack. A Maaphix that grows to level 35 or higher while holding this item will evolve into Imhatan, after which the item will be consumed.

Elite Scale

A mysterious scale that causes a certain Pokémon to evolve. It is tough, shiny and sought after by collectors.

A Lamanda that is traded while holding this item will evolve into Marvelisk, after which the item will be consumed. (Lamanda can also evolve by leveling up with 171+ Coolness.)

Gilded Crown

A beautiful, golden crown of leaves to be held by Athlauria. It gradually restores Athlauria's HP throughout a battle.

When held by Athlauria, Gilded Crown changes Athlauria into its Honor Forme and restores Athlauria's HP by 1/16 its maximum value at the end of each turn in battle.

Logos Stone

A mystical stone inscribed with Unown-like characters that spell out strange words. It can boost a Pokémon's stats. Unown are especially drawn to it.

When this item is generated, a random stat (from Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed) is selected. From that point on, whenever that Logos Stone is held by any Pokémon other than Unown and that Pokémon is sent out, the selected stat is increased by 20%. When held by an Unown and that Unown is sent into battle, Unown's Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed are all increased by 1 level (as though by a move like Ancient Power), regardless of the selected stat.

Using this item on a Makima will evolve it into Makitaku, after which the item will be consumed.

Ninetalesite

One of a variety of mysterious Mega Stones. Have Ninetales hold it, and this stone will enable it to Mega Evolve during battle.

If its trainer has a Key Stone and a Mega Item, Ninetales can use this in battle to Mega Evolve into Mega Ninetales.

Ramferite

One of a variety of mysterious Mega Stones. Have Ramfere hold it, and this stone will enable it to Mega Evolve during battle.

If its trainer has a Key Stone and a Mega Item, Ramfere can use this in battle to Mega Evolve into Mega Ramfere.

Sage Crystal

A mysterious scale that causes a certain Pokémon to evolve. It glows with a strange, brilliant light.

A Derfin that is traded while holding this item will evolve into Encanoto, after which the item will be consumed. (Derfin can also evolve by leveling up with 171+ Cleverness.)

Snow Crown

A mysterious crown that causes a certain Pokémon to evolve. It glitters prettily in the light.

A Cubly that is traded while holding this item will evolve into Arctangel, after which the item will be consumed. (Cubly can also evolve by leveling up with 171+ Cuteness.)

White Jewel

An item to be held by Zangoose or Zanthera. It is a pale, sparkling stone that boosts the power of Normal-type moves.

When held by Zangoose or Zanthera, White Jewel increases the power of Normal-type moves by 30%. A Zangoose that is traded while holding this item will evolve into Zanthera, after which the item will be consumed.

Wilted Crown

A broken, wilted crown of leaves to be held by Athlauria. It may allow Athlauria to endure a potential KO attack with 1 HP remaining.

When held by Athlauria, Wilted Crown changes Athlauria into its Guile Forme and has a 10% chance to allow Athlauria to endure an attack that would have knocked it out in battle.
