Nimphay are born near streams and ponds and rarely stray far from their birthplace. Groups of Nimphay will gather in the shallows and splash about as they practice their dancing.
Nimphay always play in tight-knit groups. They are not very coordinated, but playing together helps them form lifelong bonds. It's said that the best way for a trainer to gain their new Nimphay's trust is to splash around with it.
Name Origin nymph, a fairy or spirit (and also a juvenile damselfly) + fay, fairy
