Altavault leap from precipice to precipice and always land with sure footing. They are constantly spinning two long lines of silk with strong, hooked ends that they can use to anchor themselves or to quickly ascend away from danger.
Altavault store captured prey in the silk packs on their backs in order to keep it out of the way while climbing. Sometimes they try to share their food with lost hikers, but for some reason their offers are usually turned down.
