Pokédex Entries

A Dracoroon's wings are not strong enough to help it fly, but they like to sit with their wings extended and soak up the sunlight. Pokémon that bother sunning Dracoroon often find themselves lashed by their sturdy tails.


In battle, Dracoroon let out piercing screams that strike fear into their opponents. A Dracoroon that is full of energy can shatter glass with its voice.

Field Moves

Dig Ground

If the player is inside of a cave, immediately returns the player to the cave entrance they last used, as an Escape Rope.

Flash Normal

In dark caves, illuminates the area around the trainer. Outside of dark caves, allows the trainer to see farther than they normally would, and reduces the wild encounter rate.

Rock Smash Fighting

Shatters small boulders and cracked walls that may bar the path, sometimes revealing an item or a wild Pokémon.

Secret Power Normal

Creates an empty Secret Base in a suitable location.

Strength Normal

Allows the trainer to push heavy boulders that may block the path.

Flytragoon 1.0 (c. 2006)
The original design, with the kinda-interesting flytrap tail. The coloring job and possibly the lineart are post-2006, but the design itself is at least that old, I'm pretty sure.
Dracoroon 2.0 (2011)
Someone remarked that it didn't make sense for the line's tails to be three different kinds of plant, so I redid the first two to give them all Mandragoon's root tail. The name changed along with the removal of the flytrap.
Dracoroon 3.0 (2020)
I started the line's latest revamps with Mandragoon, so this was mostly working backward to add some of the same elements of leafiness and color. Gave it a more dynamic pose while I was at it, too.
