Flavor Info
Pokédex Entries
Aeolagio have large, gas-filled sacs in their bellies that keep them floating upside-down. They hover over the sea and scoop up Latikrai and other Pokémon that swim too near the surface.
Many of the Pokémon and animals Aeolagio prey upon are venomous, but they are able to eat these Pokémon without getting sick. They collect poison stingers from their meals and store them in the tips of their fins so that they can defend themselves.
Additional Info
All Aeolagio are both toxic and capable of a degree of levitation, regardless of the ability of the individual. The difference largely depends on their preference and the population of Aeolagio into which they were born: some show a tendency toward greater control over their ability to float above the water, while others prefer to store greater quantities of venom in their cerata ("fingertips"), making them more venomous at the cost of increased weight and an inability to hover high enough to avoid most Ground-type attacks.
Name Origin
