Abilities
The following list links to all abilities created specifically for this project, allowing you to read more about them and see the Pokémon that can have them. Many canon abilities also have pages, although they are not linked here to save space. If you want to see a canon ability, for example if you're curious about which fakemon can have Intimidate, you should be able to find most of them via the search bar up top.
All Phoenixdex Abilities (39)
- Aerialist
- This Pokémon's moves can strike targets that are high up in the air or very far away.
- Amplify
- Powers up sound-based moves.
- Beguile
- Lowers the opposing Pokémon’s Special Attack stat.
- Benevolence
- The Pokémon and its allies restore a little HP each turn.
- Bombardier
- Powers up ball and bomb moves.
- Bug Zapper
- The Pokémon's Electric-type moves are super-effective against Bug-types. Bug-type attackers take damage on contact.
- Cast Off
- Restores the Pokémon's lost stats at the end of the turn.
- Crescendo
- The Pokémon's multi-strike moves increase in power with each hit.
- Cursed Fangs
- Bites from the Pokémon change the target's Ability to Cursed Fangs.
- Diabolate
- Normal-type moves become Dark-type moves.
- Draft Rider
- Boosts the Speed stat when it’s hit by a Flying-type move.
- Eclipse Veil
- Boosts the Pokémon's evasion when it enters a battle.
- Fighting Spirit
- Powers up Fighting-type moves when the Pokémon is in trouble.
- Fire-Hardened
- The Pokémon takes no damage when hit by Fire-type moves. Instead, its Defense stat is sharply boosted.
- Frozen Armor
- The Pokémon takes no damage when hit by Ice-type moves. Instead, its Defense stat is sharply boosted.
- Gas Guzzler
- Doubles the Pokémon’s Speed stat in Miasma Terrain.
- Grass Cloak
- Boosts evasion in Grassy Terrain.
- Guard Down
- Lowers the opposing Pokémon’s Defense stat.
- Heat Wall
- Evaporates Water-type moves aimed at this Pokémon's team.
- Hydropower
- If hit by a Water-type move, the Pokémon converts the energy to power up its own Electric-type moves.
- Indomitable
- Restores the Pokémon's lost stats at the end of the turn.
- Last-Ditch
- Powers up Dark-type moves when the Pokémon is in trouble.
- Lucky Coin
- The Pokémon may pick up loose change after battle.
- Lucky Shot
- Boosts the Attack and Special Attack stats, but lowers accuracy.
- Miasma Surge
- Turns the ground into Miasma Terrain when the Pokémon enters a battle.
- Nine Curses
- Special Attacks do more damage the more the Pokémon has been harmed.
- Overzealous
- Moves have an increased chance to cause flinching.
- Play Dead
- Gives full immunity to all Normal- and Fighting-type moves.
- Ravenous
- Greedily steals the target’s energy with a bite.
- Reverberate
- The Pokémon makes harmful sound waves echo back at attackers.
- Saboteur
- Moves can be used on the target regardless of its held items.
- Scornful
- Doubles stat drops caused by this Pokémon's moves.
- Sidestep
- Avoids traps and hazards when entering battle.
- Siphon
- Recovers more HP from HP-stealing moves.
- Spirit Call
- The Pokémon draws in all Ghost-type moves. Instead of taking damage from them, its Sp. Atk stat is boosted.
- Steam Cloud
- Boosts the Pokémon's evasion when it enters a battle.
- Streamlined
- Boosts resistance to Flying- and Water-type moves.
- Third Eye
- Powers up Psychic-type moves when the Pokémon is in trouble.
- Tough Hide
- Thick skin prevents extra side-effects on contact.
