Using a pulled-up mat as a shield, the user protects itself and its allies from damaging moves. This does not stop status moves.

Effect

Protects all friendly Pokémon from damaging moves except Feint, Hyperspace Hole, Phantom Force, and Shadow Force, even moves that do not have the Blocked by Protect flag. Can only be used on the user's first turn after entering the field.
