Athlauria wander the world in search of exciting battles. They like to jump into battles in progress and get in on the action, although they have been known to possess underdog Pokémon or trainers and push them to greater heights. It is a great honor if one allows a trainer to catch it.


An Athlauria's strength and tenacity come from its leaf-like crown. Athlauria with golden crowns are said to be pinnacles of fairness and restraint in battle. Some have badly wilted crowns, however, and use vicious, underhanded tactics to win at all costs.
