Solberon prefer to live far away from people and from most other Pokémon. It is said that this solitude allows them to focus on training, as if they are overstimulated they tend to cause trouble.

Demisticus/Asgolan 1.0 (c. 2003)
'Demisticus' started life as a Dragonite-like pseudolegend. It was also 'Dragonite-like' in that it was a Flying-type. As in, it was Fire/Psychic/Flying. I can only apologize. To this day I can't recall the full etymology of 'Asgolan' aside from horribly mangling 'Legolas', but my brain insists there was more to it. The art was done sometime later than 2003.
Asgolan 2.0 (c. 2009)
Well, it's not technically wearing clothes and doesn't have pointless horns or a third freaking type, so it's a start. Still a very awkward humanoid look, though. I think I only kept the also-pointless tail because the back 'needed something'.
Asgolan 3.0 (c. 2012)
Better. General improvement in artistic ability helped, but I think the biggest fix here was making the hair more abstract and less like some awful mullet. Unfortunately it's still too human for my tastes at this stage, and there's got to be a way to make the design less front/top-heavy without resorting to that dang tail...
Solberon 4.0 (2017)
At last we arrive at a less-human, less-cringey design (and a name I actually understand). As with the others, the rabbit-like elements and the loss of the pointless tail help a lot, and I think its 'pants' finally look less clothing-like. Funny how it circled back around to having wings, though. I'd honestly forgotten (or repressed) the old ones at the time.
