The feathers on a Josuche's wings are stiff and can be folded or fanned out. It uses its feathers for slashing, closes them up and swivels them around for swift jabs, or tucks them out of the way to deliver fierce strikes.

Josuche wanders the forests in search of Pokémon that produce spores, carefully collecting their toxic powders and storing them between its feathers. It blows these spores at its opponents in battle to incapacitate them.

Design History

Josuche 1.0 (2010)
A relatively complex design for early me, but a little stilted. My attempt to make the feathers look like fans mostly just stuck them together in an awkward bunch, and the body is too human in shape without being very interesting. Also, I probably shouldn't question this given Dodrio, but how does it fly?
Josuche 2.0 (2019)
Using 'normal' wings that can flare out and fold to look like fans is probably a better way to go here. It looks less clunky while still being big and noticeable, and together with the new body it's more of a tall, elegant bird Pokémon than a guy in a bird suit with fans taped to his arms. The lighter colors are also more vibrant, which is better for a peacock.
