A Veldigo's poison is said to drive people mad with one bite. Just the sight of this Pokémon stalking through the snow at night is enough to cause abject terror and inspire terrible acts of desperation.


Veldigo continue to grow throughout their lives, supposedly becoming larger after every meal. There are stories of truly massive Veldigo lurking out in the tundra, larger than Wailord after centuries of vain attempts to sate their bottomless hunger.
