Pandive leap from their clifftop nests to catch fish prey in the sea below. They can also stun fish with a deafening screech before catching them.


Pandive are agile climbers as well as skilled fliers, so they can patrol their territories very efficiently. They can tuck in their wings and streamline their bodies in an instant, allowing them to dive into the water with great accuracy and hardly a splash.

Pandive might always be a weird little pterodactyl-bird, but at least the wing feathering makes more sense here. (There is no equivalent Osgrave redesign, btw; I liked the original lineart so much that I simply traced over it and updated the lines, color and shading. It's functionally identical.)
Pandive 1.0 (2008)
Pandive's design has always been a little awkward in a way I'm not sure how to address, but this one (in addition to the ancient art quality) comes off as particularly clunky. I think it's how the wings and 'arms' connect?
