Flavor Info

Pokédex Entries

Pyrobin are natural troublemakers that can be hard to control if not raised from a young age. The best way to keep them from causing too much havoc is to give them a task to focus on.

Unruly and mischievous Pokémon, Pyrobin enjoy setting fires and agitating the flames with their strange powers. Several trainers have found themselves facing legal action after their Pyrobin caused a great deal of property damage.

Design History

Halray/Demarvyl 1.0 (c. 2003)
No art exists of 'Demarvyl' back in its pseudolegend/early starter days, and for that we can all be thankful. If you must, just imagine 'Demisticus' but more teenagery and probably drawn worse; this guy's always been the trickiest to get right, so I assume that would've held true here as well.
Halray 2.0 (c. 2009)
Halray was fortunate enough to avoid the whole 'just a purple dude with a tunic' phase (art-wise, at least), but it's still extremely human-like, painfully bland, and too similar to Asgolan to boot.
Halray 3.0 (c. 2012)
An improvement, certainly, but the 'too human' problem still hasn't quite been solved. I do like the cocky attitude, at least.
Pyrobin 4.0 (2017)
There we go. Much better. Making it more rabbit-like and fixing the head shape works wonders. (I'm probably still going to redraw it again.)
