Crocoal is prone to bursting into flame without warning. The tips of this Pokémon's mane and tail are always smoldering as a result.

Design History

(click thumbnail to enlarge.)

Crocoal 1.0 (c. 2009)
The design's pretty all right, aside from the chalky lineart that always results from making my pencil-and-ink drawings too small. Not so sure about the over-the-shoulder pose, though.
Crocoal 2.0 (c. 2012)
Same overall design, just with cleaner art and a better pose.
Crocoal 3.0 (2023)
Crocoal got a fresh coat of paint alongside all of Nesubi's other starters. This version better matches my style at the time, has a much more interesting pose, and adds some spots since they were always meant to be, y'know, spotted hyenas.
