Bossorna's poison has psychoactive properties. People have used these chemicals for medicinal purposes for centuries, but collecting them is very difficult as Bossorna are aggressive Pokémon.

A young man once tried to goad a Bossorna into attacking him and injecting its psychoactive venom, not realizing just how violent this Pokémon can be. He was gravely injured by its horns as a result.

Design History

Bossorna 1.0 (2008)
It's okay, if a bit bland. I do think that it at least gets the idea of 'thorns' across better than its first two stages did.
Bossorna 2.0 (2013)
The biggest problem I had with the old Bossorna was its quadrupedal form; it really limited the variety of moves it could learn. Standing it up like a minotaur and making it leafier let me give it moves like Needle Arm and Razor Leaf, and better differentiates it from Pokémon like Tauros.
Bossorna 3.0 (2024)
Bossorna 2.0 just doesn't look much like a Poison-type. A splash of poison purple and a bit of a skull-like look should make that a bit clearer. As with its two prevos, it was also given a more active, interesting pose.
